In 2008, we received the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval. The accreditation award recognizes our dedication to complying with the Joint Commission's advanced standards on a continuous basis.

Accreditation for Pathology
Baptist Health is accredited by the College of American Pathologist. This internationally recognized program goes beyond regulatory compliance and provides a solid foundation for quality practices, helping laboratories achieve the highest standards of excellence to positively impact patient care.

Accredited By the American College of Radiology
Baptist Health is accredited by the American College of Radiology for Mammography at Baptist Health Medical Associates and Baptist Health Women's Care.

Accreditation by the Commission on Cancer
The Merle M. Mahr Cancer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. The Commission on Cancer is the only multidisciplinary accreditation program for cancer programs in the United States. It promotes accountable quality care through comprehensive standards that guide treatment and ensure patient-centered cancer care; unique reporting tools to benchmark performance and improve outcomes; and educational interventions and targeted training opportunities

Education
The U of L Baptist Health Campus is recognized by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education as a geographically separate campus of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. The LCME is a professional accrediting body and is a Joint Committee of the American Medical Association and the Association of American Medical Colleges.

University of Louisville is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelor, master, specialist, doctoral, and first-professional degrees (D.M.D., J.D., M.D.).
