We have a very high-level simulation hospital that is used to train health science students throughout Western Kentucky at all levels. This facility is currently being expanded to include critical care and surgery simulation capabilities. We also built a brand-new home health training facility, located adjacent to our campus.

simulation with students 1The facility is designed as a house with two sides. One side is laid out as a typical home with a standard bathroom, stairs, and bedroom and the other side is laid out in an ADA-compliant manner, with assistive devices, wider doors, roll-in shower, etc. Both sides share a kitchen, utility room and living room. This facility provides real-life, hands-on training for home health workers, therapists, nursing students and others.
